NIOA and Day & Zimmermann have executed a strategic teaming agreement at AUSA in Washington to increase cooperation in support of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Building on recent contract success including a four-year supply program of 81mm mortar ammunition for the ADF, the companies have committed to a deeper relationship to support the growth of sovereign munitions capability in Australia.

Representing NIOA at the signing were Mr Matthew Cliff (Director of Business Development), Ms Doreen Chaplin (North American Regional Manager) and Mr Antoni Furman (Army Programs Manager). Representing Day & Zimmermann were Mr Mike Yoh (President Munitions Group), Mr James Estabrooks (VP Finance), Mr Paul Heidenreich (Senior VP Business Development), Mr Steve Cummings (VP Business Development), Mr Dan McKenrick (VP Operations) and Mr George Kurzik (Director Business Development)"
NIOA is the largest supplier of non-guided munitions to the ADF. They have started construction of an artillery shell forging plant in Maryborough in collaboration with Rheinmetall and commenced operations at the Commonwealth munitions factory in Benalla. NIOA recently established a Picatinny Arsenal Liaison office in the United States.
