More than 200 people representing industry, defence and government attended the annual AIDN Queensland dinner in Brisbane on Wednesday night, which was made even more special with NIOA as the platinum sponsor for the first time. The themes of ‘’sovereignty’’ and “Australian Industry Content’’ shone through from guest speakers including our own Weapons & Munitions GM Ben James, Brig Mark Ascough, Commander of the Army’s 6^th Brigade, and Julian Simmonds MP, Federal Member for Ryan. Ben gave an insightful keynote address, covering some of the big industry issues while highlighting the opportunities for business to integrate with defence in building sovereign capability.
