A big congratulations to NIOA’s Director of the Lethality Program, Michael (Mick) Ahern for being awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) in the 2020 Australia Day Honours List.

Having spent 23 years in the Australian Regular Army, Mick was awarded the CSC for outstanding devotion to duty as Commander Australian Contingent, Operation ASLAN and Senior Military Liaison Officer for Juba within the United Nations Mission in South Sudan from June 2018 to January 2019.

A fantastic honour, and great recognition of your service to our Nation.
