NIOA is investing in the defence industry’s next generation of engineers with the recent appointment of several new junior engineers. This will further strengthen our Programs & Engineering team to assist with the delivery of several key programs to the ADF.

In addition to the recent Junior Engineer (Sam Ogden) and Technical Coordinator (Sam Gook) appointments, NIOA has employed two more junior engineers to increase our capability to support the medium calibre component of our Major Munition Contract (MMC), our LAND 17 Phase 1C.2 155mm munitions program and additional domestic munitions manufacture opportunities that are underway.

Natasha Grobbelaar
Natasha recently graduated as a Chemical and Materials Engineer through the University of Queensland and holds a Diploma of Project Management. Her previous experience includes Alpha Mine Planning and Nova Systems.  Natasha holds membership with Engineers Australia and IChemE and is competent in MATLAB, CREO, CES Edupack, Visio and MS Office (MS Office Specialist Certification).

Dale Goodhew
Dale recently graduated as a Mechanical Engineer through the Queensland University of Technology. His previous work experience includes time at the Tarong Power Station and engineering work with Toyota Conversion systems. One of the outstanding graduates from his year, Dale is competent in ANSYS, SolidWorks, LS Dyna and MS Office.

We warmly welcome our two new recruits and look forward to integrating them into our agile Programs & Engineering team.
